Montreal, Canada – September 3, 2014 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, has released an etech ALERT featuring the MIC28304 Series from Micrel.
Micrel’s MIC28304 is synchronous step-down regulator module, featuring a unique adaptive ON-time control architecture. The module incorporates a DC-to-DC controller, power MOSFETs, bootstrap diode, bootstrap capacitor and an inductor in a single package.
The MIC28304 offers a full suite of protection features to ensure protection of the IC during fault conditions. These include under-voltage lockout to ensure proper operation under power-sag conditions, internal soft-start to reduce inrush current, foldback current limit, “hiccup” mode short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown.
The MIC28304-1 Series 70V 3A HyperLight Load® Control Family features a 4.5V to 70V input voltage, HyperLight Load® Control, and has low radiated emission (EMI) meeting EN55022, class B standards.
The Evaluation Board for the 70 V 3 A Power Module HyperLight Load™ Family features an input of 7V to 70V, output of 0.8V to 5V at 3A, and a 600kHz switching frequency (adjustable 200kHz to 600kHz).
The MIC28304-2 Series 70V 3A Power Module Hyper Speed Control™ Family features input voltage of 4.5V to 70V, Hyper Speed Control™, and low radiated emission (EMI) which meets EN55022, class B.
The Evaluation Board for the 70 V 3 A Power Module Hyper Speed Control™ Family features input of 7V to 70V, output of 0.8V to 5V at 3A, and 600kHz Switching Frequency (adjustable 200kHz to 600kHz).
