Future Electronics Announces Immediate Shipping Availability of Himalaya Family from Maxim

MONTREAL – November 30, 2017 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, has announced immediate shipping availability of Maxim’s Himalaya family.

Maxim’s Himalaya family incorporates 7 modules with VIN max ratings of 42V to 60V and max output current ratings from 1A to 3.5A. All variants integrate both FETS and inductor, have adjustable VOUT that are resistor based and the Pgood feature, as well as others that vary by module. These modules are targeted at industrial control, HVAC and building controls, battery powered equipment, and other general purpose POL.

Maxim’s Himalaya DC-DC step-down regulators make use of the latest advancements in switching regulator and process technology to minimize power dissipation, temperature rise, solution size, and total cost-of-ownership.

Maxim’s Himalaya buck converters enable synchronous rectification over a wide input range of 4.5V to 60V or 4.5V to 42V, supporting output currents from 25mA to 5A with internal MOSFETs.  A robust protection scheme provides high reliability over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.
