Future Electronics Promotes VOM160 and VO2223A Phototriacs from Vishay

Montreal, Canada – February 4, 2016 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, recently announced immediate availability of Vishay’s VOM160 and VO2223A phototriacs, making appliances smarter with opto-isolation.

Even the humble coffee maker now has sophisticated microprocessor-based power control features, requiring the control of AC power using sensitive digital devices on the same board. Vishay’s phototriacs are particularly useful in isolating these devices from noisy and dangerous line voltages. Vishay’s VOM160 comes in an extremely small footprint of just 5 x 5mm, while offering an outstanding safety isolation test voltage of 3750VRMS. With a mere 0.4pF of coupling capacitance from input to output, it provides outstanding noise isolation. This is a critical feature for controlling high line voltages with sensitive microcontrollers, while a VO2223A, in a slightly larger footprint, offers considerably higher load current.

The VOM160 and VO2223A offer a small footprint, low trigger current, solid state reliability, and high voltage in high current packages. Typical applications include coffee maker heater controls, AC driven pump motor controls, dishwasher motor and heater controls, washing machine controls, electric stove tops, and countertop hot cooking appliances.

Future Electronics Promotes High Voltage Automotive Qualified Hall Effect Latch ICs from Diodes

Montreal, Canada – November 25, 2015 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, recently announced the company has immediate shipping availability of AH3762Q, AH3765Q, and AH3769Q high voltage automotive qualified Hall effect latch ICs from Diodes Inc.

AH376xQ, including the AH3762Q, AH3765Q, and AH3769Q, is a family of AECQ100 qualified high voltage low sensitivity automotive Hall effect latch IC designed for brushless DC motor commutation, speed measurement, angular or linear encoders and position sensors in automotive applications.

To support a wide range of demanding applications, the design has been optimized to operate over the supply range of 3.0V to 28V. With chopper stabilized architecture and an internal bandgap regulator to provide temperature compensated supply for internal circuits, the AH376xQ ICs provide a reliable solution over the whole operating range.

For robustness and protection, the device has a reverse blocking diode with a Zener clamp on the supply. The output has a current limit and a Zener clamp.

Features of the AH376xQ family include bipolar latch operation (south pole: on, north pole: off), single open drain output with current limit, chopper stabilized design, reverse blocking diode and Zener clamp on supply, 8KV ESD (HBM), ±25G and ±220G Bop and Brp range, 3.0V to 28V operating voltage range, good RF noise immunity, -40°C to +150°C operating temperature, and availability in industry standard SC59, SOT23 and SIP-3L packages.
