Future Electronics Offers Exar’s XRP9711 the Industry’s Lowest Profile High Density Power Modules

Montreal, Canada – May 21, 2014 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, offers availability of Exar’s XRP9711 series of the lowest profile high density power modules in the industry.

The XRP9710 and XRP9711 are multi-output, synchronous step down, programmable power modules that offer the industry’s highest power density and lowest profile at 2.75mm with 5V to 22V inputs. Both devices provide two fully integrated regulators with MOSFETs, inductors, and internal input and output capacitors in a compact 12 x 12 x 2.75mm package that supports loads up to 6A each.

The revolutionary XRP9711 also offers two controller outputs that are each capable of driving loads up to 30A, making it the industry’s first module to offer two fully integrated channels and two controller outputs.

Future Electronics Announces Availability of the XR3070 – the Industry’s Lowest Power, Fault Tolerant Transceiver from Exar

Montreal, Canada – March 20, 2014Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, announces immediate availability of the XR3070, the industry’s lowest power, fault tolerant transceiver from Exar.

The XR307x family of high performance RS-485/422 devices are designed for improved performance in noisy industrial environments and increased tolerance to system faults. The analog bus pins can withstand direct shorts up to ±18V, and are protected against ESD events up to ±15kV. The differential high output driver delivers 10% higher SNR than standard RS-485/422 devices, affording additional noise margin or extended cable lengths. The receivers include full fail-safe circuitry, guaranteeing a logic-high receiver output when the receiver inputs are open, shorted, or undriven. The receiver input impedance is at minimum 96kΩ (1/8 unit load), allowing up to 256 devices on the bus while preserving the full signal margin.

Features and benefits include: 10% higher SNR compared to other RS-485 devices; ±15kV IEC 61000-4-2 air gap discharge; +3.0V to +3.6V operation (3.3V ±10%); enhanced receiver fail-safe protection, driver short circuit current limit and thermal shutdown; 1/8th unit load allows up to 256 devices on bus; ±18V fault tolerance on analog bus pins; ±15kV human body model; 300µA idle current, 1nA shutdown current; hot-swap glitch protection on DE and RE pins; available in industry standard 8 and 14 NSOIC packages.

To purchase product(s), or for more information about Exar, the XR3070 Series, Duplex RS485/422 Transceivers, Semiconductors, Signal/Interface, Transceivers, and Interface, as well as access to the world’s largest available-to-sell inventory, visit www.FutureElectronics.com.
