Future Electronics Releases etech ALERT Highlighting ON Semiconductor’s NIV1161 Series

Montreal, Canada – December 3, 2015 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, recently released an etech ALERT featuring the NIV1161 Series from ON Semiconductor, offering ESD protection with automotive short-to-battery blocking.

The NIV1161 from ON Semiconductor protects high-speed data lines from ESD as well as short to vehicle battery situations. The ultra-low capacitance and low ESD clamping voltage of the NIV1161 make it well suited to protect voltage sensitive high speed data lines while the low RDS (on) FET limits distortion on the signal lines.

The flow-through style package of the NIV1161 enables easy PCB layout and the matched trace lengths necessary for maintaining consistent impedance between high-speed differential lines such as USB and LVDS protocols.

The NIV1161 is an AEC-Q101 qualified, PPAP capable, Pb-free device that features low capacitance, an optimized layout for excellent high speed signal integrity, and a low ESD clamping voltage.

Typical applications include automotive high speed signal pairs, USB 2.0/3.0, LVDS, HDMI, and APIX2.
