Future Electronics invites engineers to Industry 4.0 seminar to preview new technologies for motor drives, sensing, control and connectivity
‘Lösungen für Industrieelektronik im Zeitalter von Industrie 4.0’ event in Minden, North Rhine-Westphalia includes an exclusive tour of WAGO’s state-of-the-art factory
Egham, UK, December 2016 – Future Electronics, founded in 1968 by company president Robert Miller and now a world-class leader and innovator in the distribution and marketing of electronics components, today announced that it is inviting applications from OEM design engineers and engineering managers to attend an ‘Industry 4.0’ seminar on 22 February 2017 in Minden, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
The all-day seminar is intended for engineering professionals at companies working in the field of industrial and factory automation. It is also open to final-year engineering students. After a keynote speech by an expert from Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe, they may choose to attend sessions in one of four technical streams: motor control, sensing and predictive maintenance, embedded control and displays, or wired and wireless connectivity.
Future Electronics is co-hosting the seminar with interconnect manufacturer WAGO Kontakttechnik, and the seminar will include a one-hour tour of the WAGO factory in Minden to provide a real-life example of the application of the latest Industry 4.0 technology.
The sessions will be presented by engineering experts from semiconductor manufacturers including ON Semiconductor, NXP Semiconductors, STMicroelectronics, Microchip and ROHM Semiconductor and by field applications engineers and market specialists from Future Electronics and WAGO.
At the end of the day, all those attending will be entitled to claim a free development kit suitable for their current or next development project. The seminar itself is also free of charge.
Martin Schiel, Vertical Segment Manager for Industrial Automation at Future Electronics (EMEA), said: ‘There is great scope today for industrial automation equipment to reduce factory downtime, raise energy efficiency, lower operating costs and improve productivity by embedding sensing and intelligence everywhere in the factory. This means that there is more pressure than ever before on the makers of factory and industrial automation equipment to make their products fit for Industry 4.0. The learning, networking and experiences that visitors to the WAGO/Future Electronics seminar will gain will help them be ready for the next wave of innovation in the factory equipment sector.’
The venue for the event is the conference centre at WAGO’s headquarters in Minden. The centre includes a meeting space for students attending the event, where they may learn more about WAGO and about Future Electronics.
Spaces are strictly limited, and those who are interested in attending are urged to apply immediately, at http://de.futureelectronics.com/de/promotions/eands/Seiten/L%C3%B6sungenf%C3%BCrIndustrieelektronikimZeitaltervonIndustrie40.aspx.
