The TNPW and TNPU thin film series from Vishay are excellent choices in applications requiring precision and long-term stability. These thin film series resistors have Vishay’s special passivation method to provide the component with superior moisture resistivity, tested according to the 85°C/85% biased humidity test.

In addition, they are sulfur impervious, and the AEC-Q200 qualification makes these product series an appropriate choice for important high reliability applications. The TNPW is suitable for precision down to 0.1% 10ppm, offered with 0402 to 1210 sizes. The TNPU is an extension for tighter precision, down to 0.02% 5ppm, with three package sizes, 0603, 0805 and 1206.

The TNPW series is offered with pure tin termination plating which is RoHS compliant; the series is also offered with tin-lead termination.

Future Electronics Features Micrel’s MAQ3202 Series Step Down High Side LED Driver

Montreal, Canada – July 7, 2014 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, features the MAQ320 Series step down high side LED drivers from Micrel.

The MAQ3203 is a hysteretic, step down, constant-current, High-Brightness LED (HB LED) driver. It provides an ideal solution for interior/exterior lighting, architectural and ambient lighting, LED bulbs, and other general illumination applications.

The MAQ3203 is well suited for lighting applications requiring a wide-input voltage range. The hysteretic control gives good supply rejection and fast response during load transients and PWM dimming. The high-side current sensing and on-chip current-sense amplifier delivers LED current with ±5% accuracy. An external high-side current sense resistor is used to set the output current.

The MAQ3203 offers a dedicated PWM input (DIM) which enables a wide range of pulsed dimming. A high-frequency switching operation up to 1.5MHz allows the use of smaller external components, thus minimizing space and cost. The MAQ3203 offers frequency dither feature for EMI control.

The MAQ3203 operates over a junction temperature from -40ºC to +125º and is available in an 8-pin SOIC package. The MAQ3203 is AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.
