The video highlight the features and benefits of PSoC 4 BLE and PRoC BLE products from Cypress, a suite of solutions that are ideal for Bluetooth low energy applications.
Both the PRoC BLE and PSoC 4 BLE products are listed on the Bluetooth SIG website as certified 4.1 single mode solutions for PHY, Link Layer and Stack. Cypress offers a PSoC 4 BLE chip solution, a PRoC BLE chip solution and a PRoC BLE Module solution.
The PSoC 4 BLE chip allows system designers to create low-power, sensor-based wireless systems by using integrated programmable digital peripherals and analog front ends, industry-leading CapSense user interfaces and a Bluetooth Low Energy radio in an ARM Cortex-M0 single-chip solution.
The PRoC BLE chip integrates a Bluetooth LE or Bluetooth Smart radio and CapSense technology for touch-sensing applications in an easy-to-use, ARM Cortex-M0 based, single-chip solution. Both solutions have 16KB of SRAM, 128KB of Flash and CPU speed of 48MHz that is scalable. Both solutions offer leading edge BLE functionality.
For users looking to evaluate and develop Bluetooth Low Energy projects by using PSoC 4 BLE and PRoC BLE devices, Cypress has released the BLE Pioneer Kit, which makes working with BLE easy and supports system-level designs by using the PSoC Creator software. PSoC Creator includes many example projects to enable Bluetooth Low Energy mixed signal embedded designs. It has also been designed in order to allow a maximum amount of design flexibility through its hardware compatibility with Arduino shields.
The Pioneer Kit contains everything needed to get up and running with developing and evaluating Bluetooth Low Energy applications. It comes with a BLE Pioneer baseboard preloaded with a PSoC 4 BLE module, a PRoC BLE module and the USB BLE dongle for debugging using the CySmart software utility. It also comes with a Quick start guide and USB cable as well as four 4” jumper wires, two 5” proximity sensor wires and a coin cell battery for low power evaluation.
