The DF61 Series connector has the unique ability to be vertically mated despite its low profile, while maintaining positive lock structuring and a long creepage distance. The DF61 devices are available in three different connection styles: straight, right angle, and in-line.

The DF62 Series in-line connectors feature box-shaped female contacts that work as a mating guide for male contacts, virtually eliminating contact buckling. The two-point crimp contact design delivers a reliable connection that is resistant to shock and vibration.

There is no exposed metal on the connector, eliminating the possibility of short circuits between the connector and the inside of metal conduits. The small size and high durability of the DF62 Series connector make it ideal for narrow or confined cabling needs.

Future Electronics has underlined the strength of its technical service to embedded design engineers with the announcement today that it has become the first ARM Accreditation Corporate Partner. This is the result of Future Electronics’ commitment to adopt the ARM Accredited Engineer (AAE) program worldwide throughout the company, with a particular focus on the ARM Accredited MCU Engineer (AAME) certification.

Accredited Engineer status is prized in the embedded engineering community as proof of the holder’s detailed knowledge of the ARM® architecture, instructions and capabilities and of the practice of code development on the ARM platform.

To gain an Accredited MCU Engineer certification, the engineer must cover a broad range of topics laid down in the AAME syllabus, practise the implementation of ARM-based designs and then demonstrate knowledge in an exam independently administered by Prometric.

In becoming a worldwide corporate member of the AAE program, Future Electronics is extending its ability to provide advice and support on system architecture to manufacturers of embedded systems. This adds to its existing product-support service provided to users of ARM-based microcontrollers from Future Electronics’ franchised suppliers.

It has also committed resources to training 30 engineers as qualified AAME educators (ten each in North America, EMEA and Asia). These AAME educators will provide training internally to Future Electronics staff to ensure that all field applications engineers (FAEs) who provide microcontroller advice and support to customers gain AAME certification by the end of 2014.
