Energy Harvesting Fundamentals Course Presented by Future Energy Solutions & EE Times

Montreal, Quebec (April 4th,2012) – Future Energy Solutions, a leader in smart and clean energy solutions, in partnership with EE Times has released a Fundamentals of Electronics course on energy harvesting.

Energy harvesting is the process of converting energy from the environment into a usable power form for a device and then storing it for later use. In this Fundamentals of Energy Harvesting course, Steve Taranovich, Contributing Editor for EE Times, provides a comprehensive overview of Energy Harvesting, covering these important areas: Energy Harvesting Sources, Transducers, Power Processing Interface, Electrical Energy Storage, Voltage Regulation, Computational Load, Maximizing Efficiency and Applications.

Future Energy Solutions is focused on smart and clean energy. As semiconductors become more efficient, devices are able to harvest energy to extend battery life or eliminate the need for charging or changing batteries altogether. Alternative energy sources such as solar, RF harvesting, kinetic or heat differential are examples of methods to provide power to a device, and the application possibilities are endless.
